Your Vote for Disney’s New CEO?

So, the Register’s leading with an article on Michael Eisner (registration), who has apparently decided not to seek another term as Disney CEO. (Right. Because he was sooo gonna be offered that job again.)

I know at least a few people who’ll whoop for joy at the news, but it leaves one BIG question:

Who’ll get his job?

In the great tradition of internet nominating campaigns, how ’bout:

Bruce Campbell as Ash! I mean, did you see what he did with that medieval town in only, like, 3 weeks? Just imagine what he’d be able to do with Disney’s Board of Directors given time and proper authority. Besides, the man has a chainsaw for a hand– a chainsaw!!!

Comments are open, if you’ve got better ideas…

(Ok, you caught me. I’m ripping off an earlier post with this one– but isn’t that in keeping with fundamental OC style, whereby we continually mimic our ever-so-hipper northern neighbors? Just perpetuating the stereotype, here.)

I nominate Alan Greenspan. He seems like the lively type of guy who embodies the spirit of Disney. Him or Ben Stein.

I nominate Al from Al’s Toy Barn in Toy Story 2. To succeed in corporate America you’ve got to be ruthless and cunning, and what could be more in line with that than stealing a cowboy doll from a little kid?

I nominate Mickey Mouse. Glad your blog is covering the whole OC county, and isn’t abode/city specific. (Terry Chen will catch my drift).

Is that a Silverlake reference, Justine? :)

How about a team approach? Larry Flynt and Jerry Falwell; each one can be CEO on alternate days.

Woot! You cracked me up with this one. But why stop there? Why not get Ash elected to the governor’s office. He’s ever so much cooler (and hotter too!) then the “Governator”.

I was wondering when we’d get some comment spam. It’s official, guys– we’ve hit crossed the threshold.

Thanks, Tropez– you’re the real service to the web!
