Like beer? Of course you do. If you’re into beer tasting (and learning a little about the brews you’re drinking) check out Beer Appreciation Night at the BJ’s Restaurant in Brea (at the Brea Mall). What’s it all about?

Beer appreciation nights are both educational and fun. We’ll sample at least a dozen different beers per session. We’ll experience and discuss the classic beer styles, beers and breweries of the world. If you’re not already a beer expert, you soon will be.

The event starts at 7:30, but get there early because it can fill up quickly. The restaurant’s at 600 Brea Mall Drive in Brea (click for map) and costs $18 per person, which includes all beer samples, handouts and souvenirs (usually a glass).

My girlfriend’s been going to the Brea BJ’s Beer Appreciation Night for a few years, and finally managed to drag me last month for their “Beers of Upper Bavaria” night. We’re going back tonight for their “Rye and Other Unusual Grain Beers”. See you there!
