    Quakes won’t cause homeowner premiums to increase because these policies do not cover earthquake damage. Very few homeowners have separate earthquake insurance coverage, because it is extremely expensive. Earthquakes are just another axe hanging over unsustainable housing prices. If you read any financial pubs, you know that fear is starting to spread and smart money is looking for an exit.

    Earthquakes are different than landslides though, both scientifically speaking and in relation to insurance; the photo you posted is from the Laguna landslides. I don’t believe they were caused by an earthquake.
