A random Sunday in OC

I had one of those Sundays that pretty much covered the gamut of OC activities:

Started with a lunch at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Costa Mesa. Part grocery store, part food court and part Japanese bookstore, it was a great place for inexpensive sushi and authentic Japanese goods. I even bought a bottle of Aquarius, which is best described as a sweet-salt-water tasting Gatorade-like beverage that I drank a lot of in Japan. Good times.

From there, headed home, picked up a friend and took her to Outer Limits Tattoo and Piercing shop in Orange (at Tustin & Chapman) to get her navel pierced.

I’ve taken many a friend to get various piercings and have gone there for my own stuff and that’s the only place I would go. The shop has a cool Polynesian design and a hospital-like cleanliness. While everyone there has fun, once the artists get to work, they are nothing but professional.
