Blimp!
I’m not a big fan of blimps, so understandable I freaked out and had to take a picture when this monster flew over my house yesterday. It’s colorful, unidentified, and you can click on the pic for a larger version.
The rumor mill says the blimp belongs to Ameritrade, but I don’t see it on their website or any references to it online. For now, I have no idea who it belongs to, or what it was doing hovering over Eastern Santa Ana for two hours yesterday.

Actually, I saw it last weekend as it was landing in Carson at the Goodyear “Blimport”.
I wanted to get a photo of it, but I was driving on the 405 by myself.
As mentioned on blogging.la, it’s an Ameriquest blimp painted by children. I’ve seen it parked a few times at the old Tustin base. http://www.soaringdreams.org/sdprojects_index.html
I was at the Crystal Cove (near Laguna) beach on Friday Sept 23 and saw a similar blimp. However the one I saw was painted really psychadelic -it was not this ameriquest one - my husband and I were a little freaked out by it actually, as it did not have any tell-tale writing on it or anything to identify it. Anyone know what that one is about??
