I’m So Excited!

And exactly what is the reason behind my glee?

You know that Krispy Kreme, the big one that you can see off the 55 that’s on Tustin? Well, apparently it is no longer a Krispy Kreme. I had no clue that they had sold the property, as I have never been a huge fan of Krispy Kremes. Although it was kind of cool that it was a drive-thru.

I just found out that it is going to be- A Chick-fil-A! It is slated to open up sometime in November.

I never said I wasn’t pathetic.

At least you can use their parking lots for driving practice on Sundays…

I’m gonna take a real wild guess here, Michael, that you’re not a big fan of Chick-fil-A.

Chick-Fil-A is one of those weird California fads I just don’t get. That restaurant has been around forever in other parts of the country, and nobody I knew thought it was “all that”. Then again, same thing with Krispy Kreme.

By the way, they converted the KK on Bristol and Macarthur to a Chick-Fil-A six months after it opened.

Personally, I find KK to be too sweet and they make my teeth hurt.

How about another Del Taco? This way it can match the one right next door and the one that is literally just around the corner by Vons.

I have no beef with Chick-fil-A (pun intended), but a nice Mom n’Pop or a Lee’s Sandwiches would have been my choice for a replacement.

    Lee’s Sandwich…….. blah :-p

I’ve actually never eaten there. But they seem a little forward with their “Closed on Sundays! It’s for our Families! Faith!” stuff for me.

Plus, they don’t serve any vegetarian meals, which makes the difference for me.

I kindof think of Chick-Fil-A as the In-N-Out
of chicken. Interesting that you turn right for
chicken only, and left for beef only. I think
the chicken sandwiches are popular in Calif because
we are trying to eat healthier. I like the Carl’s
    Jr. BBQ chicken sandwiches too.

I won’t miss the Krispy Kreme a bit. Never saw
what the big deal was about them. Now that was
a fad. Chicken is here to stay.
