While I’m not a big fan of South Coast Plaza in terms of stores (I always feel like I’m being subjected to a visual credit check while walking through there), I approve of the following:

    That is a mighty fine idea. I wouldn’t head over to the Crystal Court if it was raining and I knew I had to walk the open bridge. But I must know how they keep people from stealing them. Are they especially ugly??

    Visual Credit Check indeed. My wife says she always feels like it’s a live reenactment of Pretty Woman every time visits. Not that I am comparing my lovely wife to a hooker or anything. =)

    There’s nothing special about the umbrellas, but they’re not hideous-looking. Maybe no one steals them for fear of having the rich and fabulous shoppers stick their noses up at you when they see you carrying A)a free umbrella that B)you just stole from the mall.
