My worst is the 5N at the 91

Regarding Jon's comment about OC's crappy Mass Transit system, I just noticed yesterday that the giant gold seals on the side of the busses says "America's #1 Transit System" (or something similar). WTF???? NO! ANyone know how we snatched that title??

Gina,

Traffic-flow improvements aside, I guess I feel like fixing the irrelevant is not the solution. Hence my never ending bitching about the vortex I like to call OC Mass Transit.

Besides, isn't taking cars off of the congested roads one way of fixing these freeways? =) You're right tho, the 57/91 interchange blows.

Wow, Fox, I would say you definitely have it pretty good. Although I'm not sure I would want to deal with the crabby drivers, either.

Jon, I was looking just for freeway stuff, like fixing how the 57 onramp to the 91 west just SUCS because they have like, 300 feet in which to get over or else they are forced off the freeway.

It just seems there is so much they could do to improve the flow.

You know me, I blame the complete and total vacume of reliable, affordable, accesable and available mass transit.

When I see this map ( http://blogging.la/archives/2007/01/the_map_is_back.phtml ) over at Metroblogging LA you know what it says to me? At least they are planning for something! The OC map would be almost a blank page.

My commute beats the traffic because it nearly entirely entails The Toll Roads, I actually work at one of the toll plazas. I get from UCI to the county line in 20 minutes. It's really quite marvelous.

The commute, I mean. Actually having to deal with the hundreds of other angry commuters coming through every afternoon is much less pleasant. I guess nobody really escapes the rush hour battle, in one way or another.
