Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker roaming wild at DCA

Leave it to the Imagineers to design something that will make the kids raised on video games stop in their tracks. Dr Bunsen Honeydew and his wacky sidekick, Beaker, can now roam the park free, unlike their other animatronic counterparts.

Engadget reported about the “Muppet Mobile Laboratory” and discussed the future of remote puppeteers who can control the same MML’s at Disneyland, DCA, Disneyworld, and other Disney theme parks from the air conditioned offices of Walt Disney Studios in Burbank.

Video of the MML can be found via the LA Times and the Engadget Article can be found here.

Cool! Except with the Muppet Movie thingy being over in DCA, I’m betting you’ll have to be over there to see them. I think perhaps I would be more excited than my son, though.

Sadly it’s only temporary. Let’s just say, that if you like the MuppetVision attraction over at DCA, you should see it sooner rather than later.

Like all cool things that make a pit stop at DCA, such as Lucky the dinosaur, the Muppet Mobile Lab will most likely end up in Florida or Tokyo. Sigh.
