Pictures from Anaheim Hills
From Brittany:
Eh.. this is a link to the end of the fire that broke out in Anaheim Hills around 6 today… it is just the last h20 drop, but I am also posting pictures from today at my
picasa account here.
I haven’t heard about this fire – anyone have more data?
Update: The Register has this just now:
Firefighters quickly extinguished a 3-acre brush fire near Sycamore Park in east Anaheim tonight. The Bridgewood fire was reported about 4:55 p.m., and 67 firefighters put it out by 6 p.m., an Anaheim news release said.
I shot a few photos as well. Here’s the LINK to my Flickr set. Enjoy.
It started near the park behind the fire station (ironic?) and quickly raced up the hill towards homes off of Kennedy. PD was right there to evacuate the homes closest to the fire (on Anise Circle). Thankfully, this one remained small but evacuations are not something to be taken lightly.
Cool, Go Miss Brizzle! Nice on the scene reporting.
Update on Bridgewood Fire 10/22/07
another fire started up around 12:30pm on the coldesack of anise st. and residents were forced to evacuated yet again.
my house is also on the coldesack and the house to my left had the fire directly behind his house.
standing in my backyard, you can see the burnt earth which is about 20-30 ft away from my backyard fence.
fire also raced up towards the horse trail and also spread towards the houses on the right side of the coldesack.
the fire was contained around 1:30am and residents were allowed back to their houses.
voluntary evactuation was issued.
