Santa’s Coming to Town

Speaking of the season, tomorrow night marks the “arrival” of Santa in Costa Mesa for South Coast Plaza’s annual tree-lighting ceremony. Attendees can enjoy performances by the Orange County High School of the Arts, plus receive special gifts from “Santa’s helpers.” (Use caution when accepting gifts from strange, pointy-eared elves in tights.)

So, stop on by Town Center Park (next to the Westin) before the festivities begin at 6:00 P.M tomorrow, November 20, 2008. Then, starting Friday, November 21 at 10:00 A.M., Santa will make himself available for photo ops with the little kiddies. ‘Cause nothing says ’tis the season like overpriced photos and early holiday shopping!

WTF? It’s not even Thanksgiving, and they are already shoving Christmas down our throats.
