Los Alamitos Mayor to Resign Over Email

The flap over an inappropriate email has turned into a full-blown hurricane as Mayor Dean Grose is set to resign from the Los Alamitos City Council on Monday.

The email he sent was a picture of the White House with a watermelon patch in place of the White House lawn, with the caption “No Easter Egg Hunt This Year.” While I understand that it was sent from his personal email account, I still want to know if you think he should have sent it at all.

The questions is: Did it come from his personal email account via a workplace computer and/or workplace internet connection? Was he using city/county resources to send this? If so then yes. If not, then no. While I find the picture retarded and offensive to my core being, one of the great things about being an American is that we are allowed to be racist and offensive retards.

He shouldn’t have sent it at all. period. But what he does with his own computer, from his own email with his own internet connection is his business – even if his own business makes him a great big asshole. I blame the citizens of Los Alamitos, after all, they elected him. You get what you vote for.

I withhold my vote on this pole till I get all the facts. :)

Wait. I stand corrected. The pole question asked if I thought it was inappropriate – not "Should he resign?" I guess I need to read more closely.

That is a question I can answer as a resounding "Yes!".
