Drained Lagoon at DCA [1]

Drained Lagoon at DCA

Today I renewed my annual pass at the Disneyland Resort. It was the first time in over a year (Maybe almost two) that I had been there. One of the reasons I quit going is the parks were getting stale for me. I was hoping that they would revamp California Adventure and now that they are working on it, and now that they have the “Monthly [2]” Payment option, I renewed my pass. While walking Paradise Pier, I observed the drained lagoon which will host the World of Color [3] water show in 2010. In looking at the floor of the lagoon, If Disney ever wanted to make more money, they could turn the lagoon into a massive skate park. Why not drain it during the day (storing the water in tanks backstage) then in a spectacular wave, refill it in the evening. They could make all of the fixtures that enclose the jets and lights have casings that would double as terrain to grind, jump, and do tricks off of.
I can just imagine the lawsuits now.
