Typical OC Douchery
You know what? I think you are a douche. And by “you” I mean the fucking idiot who brought his two preteen children to see Watchmen. I find it appalling that you deem it okay to sit through the endless images of disemboweling, brain splatter and dismemberment with your kiddies. I find it even more appalling that you seem to think it was acceptable viewing for your children. Then, to add insult to injury, you storm out of the theater halfway through the movie all huffed-up about the repeated images of a giant blue animated dong.
I can’t even begin to go into the ills of a society that thinks the image of slicing off someone’s skullcap and scooping out their brains is wholesome while the rendering of a phallus is morally offensive. You sir are a bad parent. Do the rest of us a favor and please stop procreating.
Come on, you can blame the OC for "The Hills", but you can’t blame the OC for the general society. This is not an OC thing this is the way society is going.
I’m afraid Dan is right. The epidemic of stupid parents is in no way confined to Orange County.
See, I never said it was confined to OC, I said it just is typical of OC. This place is like a giant right-wing Republican nightmare and as such it seems the stupidity floats to the surface a little faster here than in certain other parts of the nation.
Just an observation….
Come on Jon, the douchebaggary isn’t confined to right-wingers, there are a lot of left-wingers that are douchey as well. Both sides have the equal ability to be a douche.
I’m assuming Jon is pointing out that the rightys tend to use their beliefs as the reason for their douchebaggery. It’s something to hide behind and blame things on. The leftys do it too, but they generally don’t hide behind an excuse. Most of the time I think they do it to just be difficult.
But maybe I’m just being pessimistic.
Well… it seems that my left leaning friends are a lot less worked up about sexuality than say, my right leaning friends. Now I know that my friend-sample isn’t necessarily representative of the nation but a brief survey of these people found that both sides didn’t give the violence in Watchmen much thought (boooooooo hisssssss). However, the leftys were not all that worried about the animated penis and the rightys were much much much more concerned about it.
So again, because OC is a Republican judaeo-christian majority, I personally attribute much of this nonsense to location, political leanings and idiotic Puritan ideas about the human form. In other words: Typical OC Douchery
