The Player’s Society ^[2] at Chapman University ^[3] has a new musical comedy upcoming on April 18th and 19th named “Jeb and Jeremiah-Alive in 2009 ^[4].”
The book and the lyrics were written by a former co-worker David Janove ^[5], and the music by Collin Martin, a senior music composition major a Chapman. A number of my co-workers also lend a hand in this production in various ways so I am excited to see its outcome.
As for the story, when I interviewed David, this is what he said:

The story is that two silent movie stars from the 1920s find themselves magically transported to the year 2009 and they need to find a way back home. Jeb and Jeremiah are a mix between Abbott and Costello and Crosby and Hope. They realize that they did end up returning home, and they left clues for their later selves as to how they got home. It’s very, very metaphysical, but to be honest, the plot is not that important. The plot is wholly there to serve the jokes. This is not a family friendly show by the way. Some of the jokes are raunchy and profane, and a couple are downright offensive (but hopefully funny). Hopefully, all in all, people will be entertained.

It sounds like fun, and if you are looking to get out and see a musical for the right price, I suggest you check it out.
