What’s Up, Orange County?

Other than the rain, of course. Everyone kept saying how epic these storms were going to be, and perhaps they are indeed epic somewhere else, but not where I am. We had some very cool lightning and thunder, but other than that, meh.

So, in the last four months I’ve given birth to a daughter, sold my home, went through Christmas, and packed and moved to a new home. Yes, I am certifiably crazy.

But, I’m back. You can’t get rid of me that easily, Orange County.

    Hi Gina!! :-)

I’m with you. I’ve seen nothing of these crazy weather conditions. Sure I’ve seen periods of fairly heavy rain, but not really THAT bad. Why does Orange gets spared? Bring it on!!!

    Really?…

    Really?

Where were you to not experience the storms? On Tuesday at around 1:30 till about 3:00 is was pouring. I drove home at 1:30 from Anaheim and the roads were very soaked (when you are driving down the 55 and it’s not congested but people are only going about 25 it’s got to be pretty bad). Many roads with water over the curbs. The rain was failing the hardest I’ve seen since I drove through the Cajon pass coming home from Vegas in January of 2005. Plus there was a Tornado warning and even a sighting.

Then last night it poured for a good hour at @5:30 (not to mention the normal raining that we had nearly all day yesterday.

Like I say, I’ve seen bouts here and there of really heavy rain, but they only last for like an hour tops. And I’ve seen no lightning, heard no thunder and experienced no tornado-like conditions or hail.

From my drive on Tuesday I experienced all that (lightning, thunder, 30-40 mph winds, and a couple seconds of hail). Driving from the Tech Corridor in Anaheim to my home in Orange.
