Glow Fest!

With all the hype surrounding World of Color at Disney California Adventure, one might not even notice the gaudy redheaded developmentally disabled stepchild of nighttime entertainment known as Glow Fest. What is Glow Fest you ask? Well, I’ll answer your question with a question: What’s green and purple and inane all over? Why Glow Fest of course.

More specifically Glow Fest is a Day-Glo… er… Night-Glo “party” with tribal world music and bright colors best enhanced by overpriced theme park liquor. Something tells me this masterpiece of in-park entertainment is intended to “entertain” bored visitors as they wait to see World of Color rather than actually stand on its own two legs as actual entertainment. I suppose they had to do something; after all when you have eleventybillion visitors waiting around to see a show in a half-empty cut rate theme park you better come up with some way to keep them from rioting. If you spend enough time in DCA numbing your senses, you’d be surprised at what you might attempt to do in an effort to feel something (anything) again.

Have you been to Glow Fest? If so… do share!

When I first heard about this I was hoping for something good. After all, I like me some trancey-dancey music. Buuuuuuut……yeah. I think this will be a fail. And I’ve heard it all stays up during the day, so it’s really awkward til the black lights come on.
