City of Orange releases dates for Concerts in the Park
Concerts in Hart Park: Wednesdays, 7-8:30 p.m.
OK, so it’s kinda schmaltzy but who doesn’t love a free concert on a nice warm summer evening? So pack your snacks and drinkies and settle in for some free entertainment. Blankets or (low) lawn chairs are welcomed but leave you pets at home – nobody wants to listen to your Basset Hound howl. Additionally, food will be available for purchase courtesy of Kiwanis of Orange.

- July 8, The Wise Guys Big Band Machine – Big band/swing music
- July 15, The Fenians – Traditional and contemporary Irish music
- July 22, Stone Soul – Motown, soul and R & B classics

It’s FREEEEEEEEE!!!!! Free Root Beer Float!!
That’s right folks! Sonic will be giving out FREE root beer floats tonight from 8pm until they close, which if I recall is midnight!
We here in Orange County are lucky to have 2 Sonics! There are NONE in LA. The only 2 “close by” are in Hemet and Apple Valley.
The Anaheim location is on Lemon St just north of the 91 freeway. There’s also a Mission Viejo location (which I didn’t know about until now) located at Jeronimo and Los Alisos.
So go get it! And while you’re at it, take a picture of yourself and upload it to their website. Your face could grace their home page! Ooooohhhh! :-O
It’s Freeeeeeee!!! Free Breakfast At Ikea!
Ikea will be giving out FREE breakfast this weekend. (Sorry I made you miss out today) Breakfast at Ikea is served until 10:30. While they normally open at 9:30, this weekend they’ll be opening at 10am, giving you a half hour to stuff yer face.
For those asking, “Food at Ikea? Wha…?!?” they actually have a decent menu. If fact there are people who swear by their food (I think it’s average).
And after you’re done, you can walk off the food by strolling around Ikea! I don’t know why but I love to walk around there.
It’s Freeeeeeeeeeeee Chocolate!

Earth Day OC: Honda Giving Away a Free Insight Today
Where else but at the Honda Center of Anaheim, of course.
The event is being held from 10am to 2pm, and includes all kinds of freebies, such as food from Togo’s, Oggi’s Pizza, and Pepsi.
You have to register in person for the free car, but you don’t have to be present to win! The drawing will be held today at 2pm. Hurry! You can totally make it there on your lunch hour!
And if you win the car, I fully expect at least one ride.

The Irvine Spectrum Center!?!?
There must have been 25 kids playing in the fountains by Target. And the parents packed for this. What’s up with this trend? No more community pools or the beach? Let’s take the kids to the closest outdoor mall and let them play in the water features. In talking with surrounding shop workers, it is a daily thing, and the main destination at the mall. I just don’t get it.
Even more baffling, the Spectrum center posts rules for the fountains. It doesn’t say which fountains though, I checked.
I think I may have to to wade in the main one hot day soon, or just walk through the middle of it, as long as I have proper footware.
What Would You Pay?
Well now this is interesting. All month long you can pay what you want at Johnny Reb’s for breakfast. That’s right, you pay what you feel like, not what the menu says. The promotion runs Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and noon.
