Metrolink finally comes to Buena Park

The 11th Orange County Metrolink will open for business on Tuesday September 4th – just in time for that post Labor Day commute. Located at 8400 Lake Knoll Drive in Buena Park, the station will open at 4:55 AM and riders will be given complimentary coffee and doughnuts (all together now: it’s freeeeeee)! Don’t try to map the new station on Google, the address doesn’t exist yet. Guess you’ll just have to follow the rails till you see the shiny new platform.

OCTA Bus Route 29 will pick up Metrolink riders for a direct trip to Knott’s Berry Farm, Pirates Dinner Adventure, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Medieval Times and Buena Park Downtown. This is welcome news for the city, as they have been struggling to redevelop the E-Zone into a desirable destination for several years now. Will this dramatically increase visitors to the E-Zone? Probably not, but an increased infrastructure is only one piece of the puzzle. Only time will tell the tale.
