Sprouts Now Open!
Well, OK. It’s been open for a few weeks now, but it’s still new. Sprouts Farmer’s Market is pretty much a cross between Mother’s Market and Trader Joe’s. The prices are very reasonable. I’ve shopped there twice, getting a decent amount of food and have gotten out under $40 both times.
For location and more pictures, follow after the jump!
The Sprouts in Orange is located at The Village at Orange. It replaced the now defunct Linens and Things. It’s a little close to Trader Joe’s, but hopefully that means price wars! Even lower prices than they already have!
Do yourself a favor and go check it out. You’ll thank me later. :-)
It always reminds me of Henry’s when I am inside Sprouts. I wonder which came first?
I keep meaning to stop by here, its right by one of my workplaces. They have a really nice website, I didn’t realize they were a chain.
I went there two weeks ago. I felt the prices were a little bit high, since I spent 140 bucks (and I didn’t even buy any meat), but I was also replenishing a nearly empty pantry.
I’m not a big fan of the location, I think it’s terrible for a grocery store. The mall parking lot is busy enough with the Wal*Mart right next door.
Agreed on the parking and location!
This and the Tustin location are both very close to a Trader Joe’s. For price and quality, I still prefer TJ’s, though if Sprouts offers more coupons or sales, I’d definitely shop there more often.
Another thing I noticed as I shopped there today, they really squeezed everything in, there isn’t room for two shopping carts in any of the aisles, and barely room for two in the checkout lanes…
I am going to chime in here and say I like this location for a Sprouts. I think it is pretty cool that this place is close to a Trader Joe’s. I used to shop at a Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods that were closely situated. I like having the mix of these two types of stores in one parking lot. I buy a lot of TJs frozen and fresh veggies, store branded items, and like their wine. I also like the fresh veggies, deli and organic dairy section at stores like sprouts/Henry’s.
For the record however, my recent store of choice is Fresh and Easy. They have most of what I want under one roof.
